This is a 4 seater hatchback and a successful second attempt of Mahindra’s. It is easy to charge and can be connected with a phone app with which you can pre-cool, lock and unlock your car. Moreover, this app can contact Mahindra if you run out of battery in the middle of the road and they can provide you with some extra mileage. This car comes in 3 variants named P2, P4, and P6 with 140km, 110 km, and 110km driving range respectively.

With a 3kW single phase 16A charger, the P2 variant charges in 7hours 20 minutes, and the P4 and P6 variants take 6 hours each. The P2 version is available with a 10kW three-phase 32A charger with which it can charge in 1 and a half hours. Their top speed is 80 km/h. They can go from 0- 40 km/h in 6.3 seconds and from 0-60 km/h in 14.1 seconds. With features like regenerative braking, direct-drive transmission, small turning radius, instant torque, low running, and maintenance cost, this car is one of the most attractive options for an electric car. The last recorded price starts at ₹ 7.6 lakh.

5. MG ZS EV-

The MG ZS EV is India’s first SUV and is one of the safest electric cars out there. Charging is not a problem as MG would install an AC charger at your home or office with which the car reaches 80% charge within 6-8 hours. They also come with a portable charger that can be connected to any 15A socket and the car will be charged within 16-18 hours.

This car has a battery capacity of 44.8 kWh and a range of 340 km. It can go from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The car can be driven in three modes- Normal with balanced range and driving performance, Eco which prioritizes efficiency to provide the maximum driving range, and Sport to experience an exhilarating driving experience with an accelerated driving mode. This car starts at Rs 20.9 lakh.
